I Think I’m Falling

Marie Kondo, the organizational guru who is making such a big splash on TV and social media with her KonMari Method, tells us to keep things around us that speak to the heart. – that spark joy!

Love releases a myriad of hormonal reactions.  It makes your eyes sparkle, your heart beats faster, and your pupils will dilate.  Joy increases serotonin and endorphins in your brain and reduces stress.  People who experience love and joy have actually been found to have 50% more antibodies!

This is amazing!   I’m all about adding more love and joy in my life – and while I’m adding, bring on those endocrinological enhancements!

What brings you joy?

As we head into February, the month of love, look around.  What do you gaze upon that makes your heart swell?

Is it a beautiful painting that makes your heart skip a beat every time you look at it?

Or luscious velvet pillows piled up on your sofa inviting you to lie down?

What joy would that be!  How inviting, and who doesn’t love a good nap?

What about a stately, gorgeous. gem-stone colored peacock that sits in the corner of your living room?

If I had that majestic bird watching over me, I think I’d actually fall in love with him.

Or maybe an interesting piece that carries the energy of loving and talented hands into your space.

Good energy flows from everywhere to you.

Come into the JLD showroom.  Your heart will beat faster, your eyes will glisten, your breath will quicken – and you might just fall in love.
