Diwali. Santa Lucia. Kobe Luminarie. These are only a few celebrations that rejoice in the gifts of light.
Each culture revels these special phenomenon in their own unique ways – be it through wearing lighted wreaths (Saint Lucy’s Day), or lighting 8 candles on a menorah (Hannukah) – light has proven to be an essential part of happy and healthy well-being.
Very apropos for this time of year – December, the technical end of the Gregorian calendar, where light comes few and far between – not to mention it announces the beginning of winter.
Nevertheless, while the days get shorter and the nights get longer, now is the time for togetherness and support. Light signifies hope, love, understanding, reassurance, and many other positive characteristics.
At Judith Liegeois Designs, we, too, rejoice the beauty of lights in a myriad of ways. Combining urban and natural elements from all over the world, we strive to be your zephyr in the sky.
