Dixie Whatley
Dixie Whatley's sculptures are in collections around the world, including four owned by rock legend Eric Clapton. Whatley studied art and journalism at the University of Southern California, receiving a masters degree and graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She also studied art at the DeCordova Art Museum near Boston. She trained with noted sculptors Joe Wheelwright and Vince Ricci. Whatley illustrated and wrote for the Los Angeles Times. She's worked in television for many years, including news anchor and reporter in Los Angeles, host and correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight", co-critic with Rex Reed on "At the Movies", and arts and entertainment reporter/film critic for the ABC station in Boston. She continues to review films for Magic radio. Whatley is receptive to commissions, both in sculpture and photography."
